Building identity review
1,528 building identities have passed the current source and duplicate review. The benchmark requires at least 3,455 comparable records. The independent audit and coverage target remain incomplete.
848 dated image observations use 788 distinct crops. A campus crop can support observations for several buildings. These reviews document visible roofs and construction signs, and do not verify that a facility is operating. Download observations.
21 historical planned-building records are excluded from the comparable count because newer decisions or changed layouts leave their current identities unresolved. Their pages retain the original evidence and explain the hold.
How complete are the fields?
InfraMap's percentages below use the 1,528 reviewed building identities. Cleanview's percentages use its published inventory. This compares field completeness across the two inventories; it does not establish record-by-record overlap or national recall. A filled field does not prove that the value is correct. Cleanview's operation-year field includes actual and expected dates. Our comparison includes both, while each record labels planned dates separately.
9 floor-area values come from explicit per-building floor formulas in dated plans. Each record marks the value as derived and shows the calculation.

What the current release does establish
Source links, stable source identities, original data center tags, geometry, and county attribution. The map includes 1,723 source roof polygons, including shared geometry for building groups. The comparable count uses separately reviewed building identities.
What remains to establish
- Cross-source identity matches and campus-to-building relationships.
- Public filings for planned facilities across all 50 states.
- Reported IT and total facility power at a consistent building or phase level.
- Dated imagery review, with construction stage distinct from operating status.
- A stratified accuracy audit and recall checks against independent inventories.
Release criteria for a verified inventory
Every published claim needs field-level evidence and an effective date. Every merge needs an identifier, a matching address plus corroborating evidence, or a recorded review. Before claiming comparable accuracy, audit a stratified random sample of at least 200 records, report the error types and confidence intervals, and resolve material location, identity and status errors.
For field completeness, meet or exceed the reference rates on a matched building-level population. Publish the matched denominator and unmatched records. An empty field stays empty; estimated PUE and backup generator ratings do not fill reported facility-power fields.
